DEEP FREEZE

 

This half term our topic is called 'Deep Freeze' we will be learning all about penguins and how they are adapted to live in Antarctica, we will also be finding out about Captain Robert Scott and the Titanic

13th November - 17th November  2017

 

This week we have continued our learning all about Penguins.

 

In English we have looked carefully at the different features of Non-chronological reports and have used all the facts we learnt last week to write our own Non-chronological reports.

 

In Maths we have continued to add 2, 2 digit numbers and have started to investigate what happens when we subtract one number from another

We have been learning different ways to add, we used base ten, drew pictures and thought about partitioning

We started our new topic by looking at Ice Hands, we investigated how we could melt the ice.

It's a Shore Thing

Autumn 1

We went to the Nuneaton Heritage Centre to see what it was like to be a child in the Victorian Era

We built electrical circuits

We had a visit from the RNLI they told us about what they do and how to stay safe near water! We loved dressing up and pretending to be rescued

We have been designing sandwiches for Mr Grinling using lots of different adjectives

Mrs Grinling sent us a basket of sandwiches for us to try as Mr Grinling keeps sending his lunch back! We thought they were delicious!!
