History

At Chilvers Coton we enjoy finding out about the past using a range of sources. We also get to experience first hand history through visits and visitors such as visits to the Nuneaton Heritage Centre.

Year 1 learning about toys from the past.

Year 1 learned about new and old toys. We sorted them into groups of new and old. It was interesting to see how things had changed over time and which toys are still around today.

Year 2 Grace Darling

In Year 2 the children have been learning all about Grace Darling. To start their work they used lots of different sources including costumes, pictures and texts to infer (make guesses) about who they were going to be learning about. Children then used all the information they found to make timelines, dialogue, reports and posters all about Grace Darling. Super History Work Year 2

YEAR 2 - GREAT FIRE OF LONDON!

Year 2 are becoming really good History detectives. They have started their new topic all about The Great Fire of London however the teachers only gave them clues about their new topic and they had to work out what they were going to be learning about. The children thought of lots of questions which they hope they can answer during the topic. Including How long did the fire last?  Check back later to see if they were able to find the answer
