Tomorrow morning from 8.45-9.00 we will be holding a cake sale to raise money for new books for our reading shed. We would also welcome any donations of cakes!
Next week (3rd-7th February) is art week in school. Each class will be learning about a famous artist and will be honing their artistic skills ready for an exhibition on Friday afternoon. Please could children bring in an old shirt or t-shirt as the best art work always gets a little messy!
We would like our children to become authors and illustrators and enter our Chilvers Story Writing competition! Children can write, illustrate or adults can scribe a story of no more than 500 words. It can be about anything they like and needs to be brought into school by 14th February 2020. We will pick a winner from each year group and all of the entries will go into a book. We can't wait to read all of the stories!
This week we are all learning about 'what makes Britain great' as part of our super learning week. Children will be learning all about the countries which make up the UK and would love to share their learning with parents in a whole school assembly on Friday 22nd November at 9.00am. This day is also a non-uniform day, please can children come dressed in red, white and blue to celebrate the end of our super learning week!
Due to the General Election on 12th December, school will be CLOSED to pupils as we will be used as a voting station. The Christmas plays which were scheduled for this day will now be on Friday 13th December; Year 1 and Year 2 will be at 9.15am and Nursery and Reception will be at 2.00pm.
We would like to say a big thank you for all of the food bank donations for our Harvest Festival Celebration on Friday. The food bank were overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents!
On Saturday we will be hosting a community event which will be all about health and well-being. There will be lots of activities and events for children of all ages to take part in so come along from 11-3 and join in the fun!
Thank you to all of our Dads, Uncles, Grandads and other male figures who came along to our Father's day picnic lunch. The weather was glorious and the children were really excited to share their lunch with you!
We raised an amazing £602.70 at our (very rainy!) Summer Fayre on Friday. Thank you to all of our families for contributing items to our fayre and for supporting our fundraising. All of the money raised will be used to provide a pantomime experience for all of our children.
We are here to support families in any way possible, so if you do need support please speak to your child's class teacher. Our pastoral team are always available if you need any support or advice
